Kim is a Senior Associate in our Wills & Estates team and advises clients across the full spectrum of Wills and estates matters, including estate planning, administration and litigation. Kim’s experience includes the following.
Estate planning
- Advising on and preparing Wills, from simple Wills to the more complex Wills incorporating testamentary trusts, enduring powers of attorney and appointments of medical treatment decision makers.
- Advising on and preparing superannuation binding death benefit nominations.
- Advising on successions of trusts, companies and self-managed superannuation funds.
Estate administration
- Applying for Victorian and interstate Grants of Representation (Probate and Letters of Administration).
- Advising executors and administrators of their duties and obligations.
- Advising beneficiaries of their rights and entitlements.
- Advising on and administering complex estates.
- Varying provisions of a Will by deed of family arrangement.
Estate litigation
- Issuing and defending claims for further provision from an estate (Part IV or testator’s family maintenance claims).
- Trust disputes and superannuation disputes involving death benefits.
- VCAT guardianship and administration applications.
